GO: Pop Souk

Downtown’s bizarre bazaar is back. Ladyfag’s “shopping dream date come to life” – Pop Souk – is just around the corner. Mark your calendars for May 12 at Greenhouse from 12p-6p. Nightlife personalities, artists, musicians, DJ’s, designers, fashion sluts, and other creatures of the night are set to take over two floors at Greenhouse with their personal pop-up shops. You’ll even catch some of the OAK family there, sharing carefully curated pieces from their overflowing closets. Plus Ladyfag’s rounded up some of her favorite New York DJs to set the soundtrack for shopping and sipping cocktails in the lounge. If you’re feeling really daring, commit to a permanent statement piece from Pop Souk’s on-site tattooist (the timid or non-committal can also opt for manicures). We loved last fall’s extravaganza, and this time around we’re excited for a special guest from the UK. For the first time since the mid-80′s, London’s legendary Pam Hogg will be presenting her work in NYC and selling limited archive pieces, t-shirts, posters and her music (come early, as Ladyfag’s already threatening to buy up all of Pam’s archives for herself). POP SOUK – Saturday May 12 [12p to 6p] – 21+; free admission – Greenhouse [150 Varick Street]

Dear Suzy, walk 400 yards due north from your house to the dirt path that has not got any name on it. Turn right, and follow to the end. I will meet you in the meadow.
